It should be noted that the Judges decision is not only usually hard .. but is FINAL.

 

   
 

 

Charlene Cowin became the 9th winner of Manx Stars in Their Eyes, since the event began in 2000, with her powering performance of "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion. The Judges decision was tough as this years show provided some of the best acts the annual competition has seen. Charlene received a cheque for £750 thanks to Edward Bryan Removals.

In second place singing Alexandra Burke's X Factor winning song "Hallelujah" was Jodie Teare. Jodie received a cheque for £500 from Eye Spy.

In third place was 15 year old Natasha Watterson who sang Beyonce's "Broken Hearted Girl". Natasha received a cheque for £250 from Sound Choice.

 

The show got off to a Thrilling start with a stage invasion of 40 zombies thanks to the Christine wild Theatre School and Gena's Dance Academy provided the Lion King dancers for the interval.  

 

 Other singers on the night included Jess O’Brien as Lady Gaga singing "Bad Romance", Liam Moorehouse as Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol sang "Chasing Cars", Paige Gilmour as Lenka performed "The Show", Mel Skillicorn sang as Alanis Morisette with "Ironic", James Croft performed as Robbie Williams’ with "Miss Jones", Jolene Clarke rocked as Suzi Quatro with "Devil Gate Drive", Kevin Kelly sang as John Denver with "Annies Song", Rebecca Forrest performed as Maria Carey with "Hero", David Cowley sang as Buddy Holly with "Oh Boy", Nigel Thijs sang as Freddie Mercury with "I Want To Break Free", Sarah Gilmour performed as Alana Myles with "Black Velvet" and Daniella Clarke sang as Shakira with "Whenever Wherever".

 

A huge thank you to the main sponsors of the show Jaks, Fusion, Taj Mahal, A&J Buchers, OSA and Greenlight TV. Early indication are that the event raised £18,000 for the Naseem Manx Brain Tumour Charity.

Last year, the Stars team chose to support Naseem's Manx Brain Tumour Charity.

 

 

The  charity provides financial assistance to Isle of Man residents diagnosed with a brain tumour. The amount raised on the night was approx £18,000.
